Photography is all about freedom. Whether it's the freedom to control, construct, or organize, all of my surroundings are of my own design, if only for a brief second. During those fleeting moments, I am in full control; able to carefully curate the way my art is perceived. I like to combine my love of language with my newfound passion for photography to convey various messages.
While I thoroughly enjoy conveying fabricated realities, I also dabble in capturing the so-called mundane aspects of life. Like the scenes I am partial to, these shots also capture a reality, only this time it's organic.
I do not share the same affinity for capturing people, because while I can control how a person looks in one single frame, they will continue to evolve and change the second the shutter goes off. People are already artificial in everyday life, and I do not feel the need to carry that over into my photographs.
